First of all, Hurricanes I'm unable to open your readme. It won't work in wordviewer or wordpad which are currently the only things I have access to. Perhaps next round you can make a readme on wordpad or an old .doc file or something. That way everyone (including me), idk if more people had this problem, can see it.

    Zombieland:
Had your park come later, I would have seen the movie but I my friends and mine zombieland marathon won't be untill soon. I have heard a lot about this movie so it was awesome when I saw this based on the movie. It looked great and it really made me laugh at some of the names.
The themeing was exectued very well, but as others have said before. It was quite generic but it defenitily didn't lack ideas.

    Sea of Sagas:
    This was an amazing park everything was of immense quality. I don't have much to say about it, except;
Happy Leif Eriksen Day. HINGA DENGA DURGEN!

    Matchup:
Great matchup, two nearly opposites of each other which made this a great matchup. It was humor/shittalking + quality vs. a crapload of quality
and how much I would want to vote for both parks, my vote will go to
SEA OF SAGAS by THE REPLACEMENTS aka TEAM NIN

This makes me so excited for the rest of H2H ! :D

Sea of Sagas - I think I'll go with what someone said before about loving the front of the park and not quite loving the back as much. Up front the atmosphere was just great, very good job on the docks and the stunt show on the pirate ship... maybe the best show I have seen in the game, I loved the use of frozen staff. Just the viewing area was awful. It looked like the crappy bleachers I see at every high school event I cover for the local newspaper I work for. Also it was to small. The water ride was great and I liked the sea monster. The longboat/restaurant was a fantastic touch. In the back I was not crazy about the B&M, the dull red supports did not work. Overall a great park, but imo not mind blowing. Id give ZL about an 8.something and SoS a 8.5, so yep, a pretty damn close match-up...

I'm away from home till Friday but I must say I'm really happy we've put out such a good match up. Yeah the canes may have to dust themselves off but congrats to the replacements for putting out such a good park. I cannot wait to view it!!!

I kind of disagree with the opinions of Sea of Sagas. That back corner area with the B&M Invert and the water ride was some of my favorite RCT I've ever seen, while the front of the park seemed to be same old same old with the archy

It's hard to say how I would vote without being bias, but looking at the zoomed out overview of Sea of Sagas I expected to like it a lot more than I did. I do think that the backlot tram ride in Zombieland is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in RCT tho. I love how it goes through the makeup area and past the live filming areas, it really reminds me of the studio tour at Universal Studios Hollywood and I think it was pulled off extremely well

Overall two great parks, I wouldn't be disappointed if the B&M invert ends up as one of the best steel coasters of the contest, and if the studio tour ends up one of the best other attractions of the contest

    R1: Hurricanes vs Replacements
Zombieland: This park was good, the coasters were good, although being generic, they were executed good. The little details were fun, but there was too many of the same in here. It didn't looked good after a while and it shows a lack of inspiration if you ask me. Would have liked to see more diverse things, instead of bloody & dead people all over the place. Another thing holding this back for me, was the amount of asphalt, it felt as fillar... Next time make the map smaller or add more stuff to it. Good effort on the week 1 park guys.

    Sea of Sagas
This park was good all around, coasters were fun to watch (although some were too small for my likings) however, everything else was just perfect. Readme explained a lot, so thanks for that.

My vote: The Replacements - Sea of Sagas

Whoah... wait. So you've been registered for almost two years now, and your first post ever is a vote for one of these parks like nothing ever happened??

    Dude. that's weird.

P.s. I really felt like I needed to say this: Zombieland deserves so much better. To the builders: Don't let the voting get you down, you just had the bad luck of going up against what might very well become an all time favorite. Zombieland was extremely nice and could have beaten a great many of previous H2H parks with ease.

Sea of Sagas. Zombieland was a very creative idea, but the architecture and environment won me over in Sea of Sagas.

both parks are brilliant and it is a very close decision for me, but my vote goes to the replacements.

They both are really great but my vote goes to The Replacements. :mantis:

Ill write up a full review later, but both parks look outstanding and this was a fantastic first round. In the end, my vote goes to The Replacements' Sea of Sagas.

This vote alone has probably been more difficult than any in H2H5, for me at least. Both parks are incredibly strong and cohesive, and considering that this is Round 1, it's honestly terrifying to see what these teams can pull off with more time available.

SEA OF SAGAS: It's pretty obvious to see that this park was visually stunning. The archy was all pulled off pretty flawlessly, and there's atmosphere all around. The coasters themselves, while not sporting amazing layouts, shine in their interaction with their surroundings. I love that you pulled a lot from European mythology rather than a more common Greco-Roman or Asian theme. My biggest issue with the park, though, also has to relate to the aesthetics. While gorgeous, it feels very typical of the European-style of parkmaking to me, almost as if this was built by Liampie. The entrance area feels ripped out of <blank>'s solo screens from the past year, and a lot of this felt a lot like Legacies:Norse edition. Visually, it's far ahead of its competitor, but not all that far ahead of the trend, which brought it down for me.

ZOMBIELAND: Now, I haven't seen the movie, so there's a good amount that I'm probably missing in this park. That being said, it was still an excellent park. The sheer amount of ideas is staggering, not to mention the execution of the movie studio. The park itself was a bit normative, although Zombie Hunt was a fantastic layout w/ some great interaction with the landscape. Plus, Bug Out is bar-none the best wild mouse executed in RCT, even better than CP6's in SFC. Unfortunately, a lot of the archy wasn't stellar, but I guess it really fit the purpose well. What really impressed me most of all was the exploration required for the park; it really takes time to appreciate all of the detail in here, and the ideas are all amazing.

Overall, my vote goes to the Hurricanes for Zombieland. Sea of Sagas was beautiful, and had some pretty great ideas, but it felt less impressive the more I really dug into it. Zombieland, on the other hand, was decent on first viewing, but really started to shine after I spent some time really going through it. I mean, christ, that movie studio is astounding.

Just kinda confused me. It's a good thing if he'd become an active instead of a passive member, but it réálly surprised me. :p If it sounded rather harsh, sorry, didn't mean to. :p

I felt much more atmosphere out of sea of sagas. While both are great, I'd say I like the replacements park better

I vote "Sea of Sagas" ;)

I think Sea of Sagas is definitely overrated. Sure, some of it is nice, but a lot of it just seemed so common. I'm not sure exactly how to say it, but nothing "popped."
Zombieland is also mainstream-to a point, but what sets it apart from other H2H parks like it (e.g. last season's Whzzfest!) is its unique theme. I don't think "zombie infestation" has ever been used as a theme in RCT before.
It's really, really close here, but I'm going to go with...
    Zombieland by The Replacements.
