more votes usually don't really change the tendency. What's missing are the long reviews. I think all the parks of r2 got too few reviews whereas r1 had lots of them.

Think of the work the parkmakers put in.

I vote for Tivoli Gardens. Will do a review in a couple of days as I haven't got any time now.

    Well, here it is:

    Tivoli Gardens
A nice park for sure. Nothing ground breaking, but the concept was executed nicely. I hope, after I've seen match 3, you guys come up with something more special in the next couple of rounds though. Maybe the park itself was a bit too small, but I don't think it could be done differently. The fact that more than 60% of the park was Asain themed felt strange to me. I think it would be better if you had some different themes as well and sticked with one Asian attraction. A small park with one theme dominating seems odd. Most attractions were nice. The Shoot the Chutes were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly executed and fit in the concept perfectly. While the structure of Tales of the Orient was nice, if felt too big for this park and looked a bit like a filler. I didn't like 8th Wonder either. All the different track types made it look really messy and it was a very gray ride. I'm not sure if I like the giant dining wheel or not. It felt a bit unsupported. Flight of Lóng's station was by far the ugliest building in the park, which is a shame. The ride it self was pretty good, but I'm not sure if the subsoil looks nice or terrible. The two entrances to the park were very nice. Most of the surrounding buildings were very nice, especially the train staion. Some buildings were subpar, for instance due to some bad texture choices or wall being too bright. The boardwalk could have been better too I think. It was less atmospheric than most of the rest of the park. All in all this park was very nice.

    Park Edda
I'm sorry but I didn't like this park. If felt really dull and missed atmosphere. And it's a shame it is unfinished off course, with the sign saying 'Monster Trucks 3' above a snack point as negative highlight. Ragnarok seems to be the eyecatcher of the park, but I didn't think it was that good. The pacing of the second part of the ride seems way too fast. Svartalfaheims Journey wasn't working at all. It was empty and too dark, even for a dark ride. The survival course looked clumsy and dead. Not sure if it was unfinished though. Aegir'r Fury was very nice though. The supports were done perfectly. The viking ship looked very cool too. All architecture looked very good, especially the station for Ragnarok . The buildings were very detailed and could have won you the match I think. My biggest complain ruined the whole park for me though. There was zero atmosphere. I know you guys wanted to add peeps in and that would have helped the park a lot I think. I'm not sure how you could create more atmosphere without destroying the concept of the surrounding areas being tundras. I think it's not possible without adding more foliage. Some bright flowers might have done wonders. With some more atmosphere it would have been Park Asterix 2.0, with better architecture and I'm sure it would have won you the match. Shame there wasn't enought time to finish this. :(

Didn't see 5dave or robbie in those parks, to be honest.

It's a real shame that the Germans' park wasn't finished, as this would have been a very hard match for me to judge if it had.

    Tivoli -

Really loved this park. nin, your style comes through really strongly here, it's just so damn perfect! Everything is placed in exactly the right place, you're becoming my favourite player I think. Overall, such a consistent park, such nice rides, incredible atmosphere, colours are perfect, the architecture is stunning, what more can I say. Almost the perfect realistic park. However...

    Edda -

A park like this will get my vote 9 times out of 10 over a realistic park, if finished to the same quality. I just value ideas over recreation, I guess. Parts of this were truly magnificent, obviously the coaster was good, although not as good as SPQR I thought. Obvious comparisons can be drawn. Excellent feel, though. Some of the architecture was incredible, but unfortunately some was just so blocky and dull.. It's quite apparant where one builder has built and where another has. The parts that shone were bloody brilliant, though.

Overall, this H2H has been absolutely fantastic so far. Such great parks from every team, and I don't think any park has been that much worse than any other. Brilliant standard from all. I can't wait to see a park that truly blows me away from a player that's relatively unknown... historically there's always been one or two players that completely step up and take it to the next level.

5Dave did 8th Wonder, the Shoot the Chutes ride, the Ferris Wheel/restaurant next to it, the station and layout for the Scenic Railway and the layout for the Volare.

Nin did the rest of the theming in the Asian area and the dark ride.

Jonny did the whole of the outside of the park, the boardwalk, the entrance gates and the Concert Hall thing.

All 3 guys did an absolutely fantastic job on this and it's definitely one of, if not my absolute favourite realistic park of all time.

    Breakdown for our park:

Myself: Swinging ship, water coaster, Ragnarok (after the turn around the water ride), Ragnarok station, water coaster station, middle castle, some structures in the entrance area, dragon, screamin swing, S&S towers, frozen waterfall, spinner, most of the archy in the center area, Ragnarok's queue, shipwreck, and Yggdrasil

Magnus: The rest of the archy, the landscaping except around Ragnarok's queue, most of the ropes course, stave church, some archy in the entrance area, layout of Ragnarok (until after the turnaround around the water coaster)

Coupon: Windows on red building in harbor area

There really is a lot that I wish we could've accomplished with this park; I have a lot of regrets, and frankly, making this park was a painful experience for me. I'm going to keep my mouth shut, as I wouldn't want to piss anyone off, but let's just say that I was a bit less enthused with how the construction of this park went.

As a bonus, here's two screens of my original intentions for the entrance area, which were shot down by my partners.

My original idea for the park was that it would be as if a park like Europa Park was given an unlimited budget and could do whatever the hell they wanted; basically, a highly-themed park still grounded in realism, like most of my work.

You know what I think about that entrance area Robbie, absolutely brilliant. If the whole park had been to that quality, I think the match outcome could have been very different.
  • Roomie%s's Photo
Agreed. Love this entrance. Perhaps a bit smaller than it should be for a big park but the style and design in undeniably superior to what was in the park in the end. Pity as if things like this had been left people may have had time to actually finish the park :(
  • Jonny93%s's Photo
Wow the entrance is great. If you built the park complete on this level, we have no chance.
I enjoyed your GCI Coaster a lot but the rest was to unfinished. I dont feel the atmosphere overall. There are still some great screens like the dragon, the station of Ragnarok, the sinking ship and so on. This ideas were so great in my eyes. A bit shame that you didnt get it finished.
Great work guys and congrats for this brilliant coaster.
  • nin%s's Photo
Thanks to those who voted for us. I wasn't part of the building teammat first and joined halfway through, but I'm glad us 3 could finish it up. Both Jonny and Dave were excellent partners.
  • chorkiel%s's Photo
Jonny was obvious to me. I guessed Cocoa and trav along with Jonny for some reason.
Trav mostly because of the commenting though.

Magnus was obvious and somewhere in this topic someone gave a hint that he thought robbie build on this and I instantly saw it. Coupon was a complete mystery though, he did only 2% so he couldn't have been obvious though.
You guys did make me wonder, what exactly was the idea of that spinning mouse? I still don't get it.

Great matchup, I agree with everyone robbie, had you guys finished the park (especially with that quality) the match outcome could have been completely different.

Trav mostly because of the commenting though.

Haha, it looks nothing like my work, you'll see. I'm just committed to my team ;)
  • J K%s's Photo
Agreed ^ you've really come alive this h2h Trav. It seems you'd be a good team mate to have on their team. Overall Nin wow, you've done it again and I'm happy that your team is producing such strong work. Jonny I actually thought most of the work on the outside was Daves which is why I was really happy to find out such an underrated player like yourself has the chance to shine and put out h2h gold. I'm really excited to see your next park and any future work from you. Also fair play to Dave for being one of the best players we have, I hope to see more of an input on your next park but wow, you always deliver whatever you build on.

German's I must say you got close to winning which I am very shocked about. Some touches of the park were excellent and some just didn't hit home which really stupefies me because you have Robbie and magnus on the same park. On paper you should have won with such great skill but reading between the lines on Robbie's post I feel sorry you. H2h shouldn't be stressful, just a whole load of fun. Anyway we all don't know what went on but from building with Robbie in the past I know he would have given 110% on this park . . . if he was with the right partners for him. Robbie that entrance is so so good, I wish the park would've been like that.

Not to ruffle any feathers but I'm just calling it how it is.

    Great matchup!
  • Turtle%s's Photo
robbie it's a pity the rest of the park didn't look like that.

Who would shoot that down? That is far more entrancing than what is in the posted file. What a complete shame that level of detail wasn't throughout the park.
  • Fizzix%s's Photo
I always loved the first entrance better then the current one, I think we should have stuck with it. This could've been incredible if finished to that quality, but a lot of things got in the way from that point on. If Coupon had been able to do more, we could've been better off, too.
  • posix%s's Photo
Stop blaming each other in public. He shot down my park, Coupon didn't do enough. Wtf ...
  • Sulakke%s's Photo
Honestly I don't think that entrance is better than the rest of the park, sorry.

I didn't expect 5dave. All the other names (except Coupon) were pretty obvious if you ask me. :)
  • Fizzix%s's Photo
Not blaming necessarily, as I'm incredibly proud of what was able to be accomplished given the circumstances. I was just saying, for this to be finished to the higher(I think) standard of Rob's earlier entrance, a lot of things could've been done better. No regretsm I still think it's incredible work.

    @Robbie92
    It's a "beau bordel". It's quite nice.
