Isn't this the EXACT same layout as that Insomnia one he submitted like two days ago?

    Almost.

I've brought this up in another thread before, but is it just me or does anyone else think that this layout would not be seen as "good" if Intimidator never existed? I like the layout a lot just like I liked Insomnia but I get the sneaking feeling that it's only praised because Intimidator set a precedent for this new type of layout to be viewed as acceptable, and if it hadn't been created then the creator of this type of coaster would be derided as not knowing what a good giga layout means. Or maybe I'm high. Or both?

^I totally agree. Without I305, or Skyrush to extend the metaphor, we would never build something like this, it's just absurdly tall and doesn't perform well in the game. It is one thing being innovative in the game (layouts, elements, etc.) but another in real life like engineers, where the latter is much more of an inspiration to us than the former do to the actual feasibility of something existing.

I definitely had the same thought originally, Avanine. I think it's because visually there's a real lack of substance after the lift and the hill underneath it. I'd equate it to the layouts of the original mega coasters which were not much more than an out and back--works in real life, but looks like shit from the RCT view. Or one of those obnoxious rocket coasters like Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka. You have to imagine riding it.

That said, I'd ride the shit out of your coaster, Freak. I just don't want to look at it.

Same thing will happen now with zero-g-rolls on Wooden Rollercoasters...
