  Kind of wanted to go for a bit of a different feel rather than just the standard archy heavy entrance, and plus the real Great America parks have a archy-less entrance plaza sort of like this.  Felt like adding some nice gardens would be better than lackluster buildings, and I actually really like how it turned out.  Gave the Carousel a lot more breathing room and made it more of the focus.
