Glad I could help you out buddy, I just really like to see this park finished in the way you envisioned it, without any concessions..
Screen looks ace, park in-game even better. Congrats on your 2nd Spot.

where do you find the time to finish a huge scale park like this? It's only been a few months! -

^ Haha, you really must be thinking of somebody else! I'm convinced I'm probably one of the slower builders out there. This park has actually been going since February 2009. It's not for lack of trying; I've been doing a lot of work when possible-- I'm on year 755 right now. Being able to finish large parks is just a matter of patience and always trying to find something interesting and exciting about it. To be honest, I never would've guessed I could hit 200x200 and still be going strong.
Thanks so much for all the comments so far.. I'll address some of them soon! -

Both screens, especially the second, are amazing man. Your "main street" area is quite impressive. Good luck with the object limit and finishing the park. I know I speak for many when I say I'm stoked to see this released. -

That's looking really nice CP6. I'm not sure if this has been addressed earlier in the topic but how many coasters are there in the park?
Looking forward to the release. -

Exceptional work Brian! It's a shame that you are now in the compromise portion of building a large scale solo however what you have already really is quality work. Such a fine balance between detail and function that realle makes it easy on the eye.
If there is one thing that I would say to help the recent update would be to cut down on the red as it does seem a bit much in one area. I know brick is generaly red however the in this application, the red is such a bold color that too much could be a bad thing. Problem is I don't know what color you could have used. It's a shame you couldn't use a different brick texture.
In any case, congrats on nearing completion.

Ok, I'm putting off writing papers and such, so here's some replies to various comments:
SSSammy: Thanks. I like to think of my style that way. I'd often like to have a little more detailed style, but for now I'm more or less happy with the way things are coming out... and it seems like other people are too, which is a bonus.
Gwazi: Yeah, I can see what you mean with the red. I may remove some of the red trim around there, although for the most part I do like the brick and general composition. The park is quite red-heavy, especially around the entrance, but I'll take a look and see if I can reduce that anywhere.
SixFrags: Thanks. Certainly can't thank you enough for those objects, especially the tile fence post.. forgot how much I'd used those little ones in the park. I'm stuff not positive I can get everything done outside the park with the giant amount of black tiles that need placing. That said, I can finish a lot of stuff, which is great. And I may save some of the ideas I can't use for SeaWorld.
RCTCA: I'm sure I have it posted somewhere, but here's the list right now:
- Vekoma Boomerang
- Maurer Sohne Mouse
- Summers&Dinn Wooden
- Zamperla Kiddie
- Vekoma SLC
- Vekoma Flying Dutchman
- B&M standup (think Chang)
- GCI wooden
RCTNW: Thanks for the thoughts... see Gwazi's reply for thoughts on the red.
Thanks for all the comments so far. It's definitely appreciated.
The past few nights I've been able to grab an hour or two to get filling in black tiles. I want to black out the rest of the map I've not used so I can get to finishing the actual park. Then any objects I can save from there will be put toward a few more outside the park buildings and stuff.
I should have a new update soon too... but we'll see how that goes. -

I am going to cut to the chase about this but can I please be a tester for this park and/or view it in advance. -

The park is just awesome CP6, I don't know how much you have changed since you hit the object limit thing. I hope you can finish the surroundings of the park too to the level you want it to be! Good luck -

Alright... so I'm feeling good about things lately, so here's another update already. I don't want to get too optimistic yet, but this may be the next to last update. I can see light at the end of the tunnel and I don't think it's a train this time. It's year 780 and the list of stuff to finish is getting a lot smaller. I just need to save a good amount of more objects to do a few outside the park buildings. Then it'll be all set, I think..
First, responses:
Inversed: I'll put you down for it!
In:Cities: Yep! It's been in planning for probably half a year or more now. Hopefully I'll have some more details soon.
Phatage: Certainly. Suggest me something else to try and I'll check it out.
Cena: Yeah, absolutely. I definitely won't be able to finish all the surroundings (seeing as that'd kind of be like a mini map project in itself with the scale I was considering...), but I can at least make my Arby's and hopefully half a motel. I'm doing all the savings I can...
Liampe: Good call. The 3 across bring building in the center is now that color.

Ok, to the update!
So here's Pendulum, the last ride to be added into the park. It's meant to look rather shoved in there... which is good because it was.
And here's progress. It's a 200 square map for the sense of scale.
Thanks for following along. And remember, More Flags... More Fun! Six Flags. -

Shouldn't there be a ride op booth somewhere around there? Aside from that, looks great as always.
