The only real issue I have with the SS is the ppeps being beyond the fence while the ride is in operation. I really think you should bring it to the yellow line on that tile to add to the realism. I also agree that a simple ride op both should be included.

    Other than that, looks great!

Thanks everyone. To answer a few of the comments, let's extend the screen a few more pixels:

I'll see about the fencing as I did this since I was a little less concerned with how the peeps fit in there. But either way, I'll have a look.

Thanks for the comments so far!

I'm not a fan of the bright red roof but otherwise it's great! :)

benches right along the fence like that might be a bad idea due to the wind the ride would create. i wouldn't want to sit there. people are most likely going to want to stand there to watch the ride swing over the midway not rest their feet. so many lamps would do, or nothing at all.

the map look like you have a big park. can't wait to see ingame. i strongly agree geewhzz. i dont want my head chopped off.. at least not while eating my cheese burger.
  • robbie92%s's Photo
^Heads wouldn't get chopped off. The ride just creates wind that would be bothersome.
  • JoeZia%s's Photo
i know. exageration to make a point.

i really hate how the pole lines up w/ the train. the swinging im not worried about. the pole is not centered completely.
  • CedarPoint6%s's Photo
^ The pole is centered completely. The ride is not because it doesn't sit completely on the center of the tile when stopped. There's not really a way around that, though, so I'm not terribly concerned.

And yeah, Gee, I thought about that beforehand and decided I still wanted some benches. Just the more I looked at it, the more I agreed with you and decided to remove them for elsewhere.

As for the progress: I will tentatively say that the park's buildings are now done. A few more stuff outside the park left to do and I'll have it finished up. I'd like to save about 1000 more objects to do what I want, but I don't think I'll get there. That said, I'll do what I can.

Can we possibly get an estimated release date? I am sooo stoked for this park.
  • CedarPoint6%s's Photo
Release date I can't easily give you with however many submissions end up in the queue in front of me. But as for the park itself, I want to be done by Friday. This Friday.

Then I just need to do the readme and get a few thoughts from some folks and it'll be on the way to the voting panel.

if you really do submit it this soon then it'll most likely get out before europa park (as that's not sent in yet).

^Yeah, I got myself more work on my sleeve with that park guide than I imagined, but if all goes well it will be send in this week. I got kinda hooked to StarCraft 2 which kept me from working on the park guide and got kinda demotivated (again) by all the work the park guide proved to be. So cp6 will need to hurry if he wants to get it in before epws :p
And I know how much extra time working around the sprite limit costs, so it would be amazing if cp6 could finish it since the last build I saw of the park when he send it for help on the sprite limit.. Testing the park also is a lot of work if you want to do it well.. Especially checking for peepability (which cp6 wanted in his park I thought) is really time consuming..

Anyways, nice screen there, I hope you'll be able to finish it how you wanted it..

Wow, it's going to rain spotlights! I'm positively surprised that you think you can finish this by friday. That's really soon. However, if you finish one week later I wouldn't be in the middle of my exams; H2H5 proved that RCT can be a serious distraction. :p

Hey Brian, it's been a while. So so impressed by all this. Looking forward to checking it out when it's done.

    Hope all is well.

Hey postit, haven't seen you round here in years!
  • postit%s's Photo
yeah. I really don't want to highjack the topic but I'm hoping to build in RCT again soon. Hope everybody is doing well, but I guess let's stay focused on topic!

I've always wanted to do a SF park and had one started a while back but kept running into issues with my Mr. Freeze type coaster. Anyway, scenery has apparently come a long way since then. Any recent PT-esque benches I should check out (pardon my ignorance)?

I have to agree that the Penguin rapids ride does not give me the feel of Gotham. Maybe I would say it's because of the foliage/trees? I actually like them there, but it's not as much of a concrete jungle as Gotham is usually depicted in the Burton movies or in the SF parks. I adore the idea of a Penguin rapids ride, though.

I wanted to comment also that the carrot on top of the Bugs Bunny Cafe is just lovely. Reminds me of all that I love about the game.

I appreciate that you are building a smaller scale park. In fact, that's what I'm most interested in these days. Was inspired by a recent trip to Great America to get back involved with RCT, and I want to tackle a project along that scale, and this seems to be on par with that.

Again, looking forward to this. :)
