I really wish I can explain it but I can't. All of your work always has a nice smooth flow to it.

Great stuff Brian! Glad to see that this will be seeing some action in the near future. Best of luck on the Disney Project!

the brown queue roof is boring and flat, maybe add a glass pane or two or something 3d on it, but otherwise its loverly.

    what disney project?

Not RCT related... it's a design competition for them. That's been keeping me from working on SFC since it's a tight deadline. I may post something about that here later when it's all finished, though. It's pretty cool. Thanks for the comments so far... I'll respond to them sometime before the next update.

Oh, that is cool :D, Would u mind telling me more about it on msn? I am really interested in this. Disney is kinda an obsession for me (parks, movies, ships ...)

I'm really not crazy about the queue fences. Otherwise, this screen (as well as this whole project), is incredible.

Ok, so pretty big announcement today, but first, some comment replies:

-MA: That's the problem with the bland coloring that goes with this coaster. I do wish there were more shades of both of them.

-Phatage: The supporting is one of the not finished details, although that's done now. There is fire-- still need to add some more. The queue may be made longer, but I'm kind of in a pinch for space at this point. It is Bizarro, although I'm not fully sold on it. But SF parks are full of bad decisions.

-Goliath: The footers are fine as far as I'm concerned. If you put them underneath they screw up the spacing of the wood supports. I like them as a veneer much better.

-Pacificoaster: Will try the black and see how it looks.

-Louis: The gray is supposed to blend.. it's a very bland ride color scheme. The tunnel I changed to a darker brown, although I may go back. I could really go either way at this point.

-Cocoa: Boring and flat is the Terminator-esque stuff I'm shooting for. I'll look at other details later, but for the most part, I think a general queue roof is not something that needs much detail.

-Zburns: I may redo the fence or add another post in there. I need to look at that again.

    -----------------------------

Anyway, the announcement which may or may not be a good thing.

    The bad:
I hit the object limit today while working on some of the stuff outside the park boundaries. So now I'm having to delete stuff out there and just get the rest of the actual park done.

    The good:
SFC will be done sooner now that I can't build the whole commercial strip of shops and stuff I really wanted to do. Hopefully it'll be ready in under a month.

So there you go-- my first object limit hit!
This means that my next park will probably not have full interiors (except in certain areas). It also means my next project may have multiple maps!

Hey its okay man, i just saying you should do them the 5 dave way but then again they take up alot of object space, and they are very time consuming lol.

Shame about the limit, well at least we can see it earlier, looking forward to it!

Hey man, if you need help on battling the object limit, contact me.. I think I saved around 10000 object slots with a couple of object slot saving techniques, including custom scenery.. Only by looking at your screens you posted I think I can save you around 1k slots..

CP6, I found some areas already last night where to save objects, if you have time, we maybe can discuss this :)

Six Frags, it would be cool if you want to help too :p, I think we all agree, that SFC is a very cool park and that we all want to see it finished.

Thanks for the help, Cena. I'd like to get a word with you when you have time. I should be online most of the day now.

SF: I'd like to hear some of your thoughts as well. Might be able to combine what you two have to say and make it all work out. I know that I won't be able to do *everything* outside the park that I'd originally intended, but I'd like to at least have the park itself as good as it can be. Thanks for the offer for help!
  • CedarPoint6%s's Photo
Well it certainly has been awhile.. hasn't it?

Here's 2 small screenshots taking a look at some of the architecture of the main areas. I wanted it to be rather simple and understated, because this is not meant to be a huge park.

As for the project status-- it's still going and I really hope it won't be long till things are finished up. Inside the park I'm pretty much done aside from details, removing entrances, and getting everything to go. Outside the park, there's a lot of things I'd *like* to build, although the reality is I'm probably going to have to black out most of those spaces. I'm still right up against the object limit, but thanks to Cena and Six Frags, I've gotten some new objects that help me save space. Just blacking out a 5 tile wide spot on the side of a map takes 1000 tiles, so you can see the kind of problem I'm having. That said, I hope it won't be too much longer till I'm ready to send it through the final paces and send it in.

Enjoy, and if you have anything you'd like to know about the park in general, feel free to ask.

when i see this, i think of a less detailed style than robbie (rather, robbie has a more detailed style than yours,) but it still retains an equal charm, which i just love.

    Flawless.

it may just be the screen and this effect may wear off with the rest of the area, but i feel as though it has just a little bit too much red.

Simply stunning. Hope to see a release soon.
