I still find it funny that people are considering "large structures" and insane hacking something mind-blowing. Take a look at old LL parks. They don't rely on hacking or large structures, just detail and beauty. They're mindblowing. Take a look at something like Zippos. It doesn't have insane hacks or giant structures, just clever use of RCT scenery to make something pretty. For all of you who wouldn't find smaller detail, elegance, and clarity mind-blowing, take a look at RRP's Sea World Atlanta. Yes, there's some great hacks, but what makes it #2 on the list is its beauty and use of tools given. SFC is just that. It's mind-blowing in its accuracy, elegance, precision, and general beauty. Size doesn't matter people, and you don't need a bunch of bells and whistles for something to be jaw-dropping. What makes a park is its beauty and execution, and here, SFC is amazing.
Brian, this park is great!
Well, those are considered out of date, ever notice that no one makes traditional parks anymore. Some people like jagged rocks, but I don't see them being used anymore.Edited by jaguarkid140, 05 September 2009 - 08:51 PM.

Well.. I guess I should be pleased my topic made 3 pages. I think.
Well anyway, don't turn this into a realism/fantasy debate or what/what isn't mindblowing. To be honest, I don't care.
If people don't like my work, that's fine. They're not ignorant for that. If I expected everyone to like it, then I would be the ignorant one. If you think it's mindblowing, then fantastic. I'm not building specifically to be mindblowing.. I'm building a Six Flags park following many of the standard conventions that any real medium-sized Six Flags park would follow. If it turns out to have mindblowing detail in its execution, then fantastic.
Bringing the Fiesta screens over:
(Unfinished like I mentioned in the Fiesta topic)
So anyway, that's all.
I welcome your comments on my park. Otherwise, have your other discussions somewhere else. Thanks.
EDIT: And look at gee's post too! -

CedarPoint6, I have respect for you. You understand that people have seperate views and I respect that. This is something I have recently realized and I am no longer one-dimensional. I apologize from my recent months and I hope others on these forums begin to grow up like I have began to.
To the rest, I think the park is nice. NOTHING more. This is my opinion and I have stated WHY this is my opinion so deal with it. -

I see alot of Loopy Lanscapes Parks that use jagged rocks. I don't see how they are that ugly. -

^but if they use them, they dont use them as filler, they would use them sparingly, or in a way that would make sense.
well i mean, the good parks were like that.
not too sure which ones you were referring too lol -

roomie used jagged rocks beautifully in Zero.
you just use jagged rocks stupidly and haphazardly, maybe you should actually look at those parks, and see how well thay are used, then come back and say all that stuff again.

It's not floorless because that's how Six Flags built it. Back in 1997, it was determined that Six Flags Carolina needed a new signature coaster. Stand up coasters were reaching the height of their popularity as the new 'big thing' in coasters. Thus, a layout was delivered and has since been the big coaster at the park. In 2009, the park wanted to rebrand a ride as was occuring at both SF New England and SF Great Adventure. While not previously themed to Superman, the ride was a good candidate to undergo the transformation and addition of fire effects, (admittedly) cheap scenery, and a new soundtrack.
So that's why!
(And SFNE's isn't floorless anyway.. you're just thinking of (formerly) Medusa at SFGAd.) -

CP6, before I forget to ask, what style SLC are you making, 689m Standard, 765, or what? -

SFNE's is a Intamin mega coaster.
SFGAdv's is a B&M Floorless Coaster.
SFC's is a B&M Stand-Up.
