I love how the rollercoaster interact with the architecture so much. Makes for what would be some extremely thrilling rides. Great work guys!

Really nice screen other than those cartoonish brown rocks you've used. For some reason, they stick out like a sore thumb imo.

im a big fan of this work so far. :) i dont really like the white color for the woodie supports, but i really like the rest. i might add a little more foliage to the jungle area.

I like the overgrown jungle feel, but I have to echo JKay on this one. The rocks don't add a whole lot to the screen.

Overall I think the coaster color appeals to me the most. Not sure I've ever seen someone go so bold in a jungle. :p

Can't wait to see this one finished.

Now that I see it on screen, the rocks indeed look a bit out of place.....Look a bit like elephant poo don't they? LOL
And since this is the tiger exhibit of the small zoo on the Island......
We can't add anymore foliage. We had to have the paths to keep those darned entertainers in place........At first we had them assigned to the spot without paths and in no time our entire zoo was running loose around the park.....It is an endangered spiecies zoo with, you guessed it, LOL: tigers. elephants, gorillas and panda bears. There also is a turtle beach but the eggs already have hatched so there's no turtle in sight at the moment......
Anyway, a monorail is touring the guests through the various exhibits. There also is a small aquarium and the monorail is taking you over the hatching grounds of the very rare red tuna....(and they ARE in sight!)

    Thanks for the comments!

I actually hadn't noticed the brown rocks. :X

    Will invisible path not work?
  • Todd Lee%s's Photo
It might, but we don't have it in the park. :(

i like it so far the white of this coaster work perfect with that forest.

if you had taken a broun it all looks the same, but now i think it looks great
but i really don´t like the brown rocks in that screen.

    keep it up

I like the coasters in this park so far. That last screen was really nice. I like the jungle themeing you have got so far. Good job.

Looks very nice. I'm not a fan of the multicolored roofing, but the building itself and the interaction look great, and the texture choices are excellent.

    Looks great!

The multicolored roofing actually works for me.

Not sure about the trees you're using here...

my humble suggestion: ditch the brown rooves for green ones, and add corner rooves on the second story where there are none.

    hmmm...

note to self: corner rooves that end at the diagonal instead of the corner...

A side friction coaster, Nice. Best screen yet imo. Even though I am with eman on this one with the color roofs but yet, the rest of the screen backs it up. Great work with this screen. Looks like a building that is around a swap or something. Like an out back stake house or whatever.

    Thanks for your comments!

You wouldn't believe how often we already changed that roof color! LOL..... We decided we would first complete the entire area and then make final decisions on the roofs and such.
Point is, this is the oldest part of the island and the buildings orginally were build around 1700 with limited and primitive materials, and in the middle of the jungle. To express that in a right way and also have a bit of color in it and versitility definitely isn't an easy job. Also, in the screen you see one building isolated, in the overview of the entire area it does look different.

All older coaster types are present in the park, JDP. Reverser, Side Friction, Virginia Reel, a BIG duelling woodie, several wooden mousies......The Insomnia's are supposed to have been coaster fanatics for as long coasters exist so the older types really ought to be there.

The Side Friction is one of the oldest coasters in the park. It was first opened in 1908........LOL, Todd is writing our coaster history since he is the expert and each coaster will get its own history with manufacturers, maybe even costs etc. Most of the coasters refer (often with a wink!) to existing(or having existed) coasters in RL........We are really doing our "homework" ;)

Blitz, a diagonal roof would have fit perfect in there!

To all those scenery makers... anyone.... anyone?? And as Mama said, the colors of the roof have been changed more times than I can count. They were originally dark brown (the last brown on the pallette) then they were the tan color, and now 2 shades of green with brown. :<img src=:' /> Maybe the burgundy will look good?? Or maybe even yellow/gold?? We'll see I guess.

    Mmmm, Outback.
And Geoff, I suck at foliage, I'm NEVER too sure about the choices. (accept around the mine... it looks perfect!) A zoomed out view of this shot does look better with the foliage chosen...

Thanks to everyone else for the feedback.

I don't really see any flaws. Nice color choices, as difficult as they were to choose.
