No offense but, How? Please explain to me how this park deserves 91%?, 91% of the park is path and ugly beige structures. The only cool things about the park are the "The 7th wonder coaster" and the Kulkulan coaster because they are pretty original layouts. But they are still not 91% cool imo. Someone please enlighten me, because I try to understand why people enjoy this park so much, but I personally just can't understand it.

I think in order to fully enjoy the park, you need to first gain an appreciation for classic RCT, which includes the LL spotlights before DMM and the first 3 RCT2 spotlights.

 

Its a different style that's a bit more impressionistic and reliant on your imagination to fill in the gaps that couldn't be build in game at the time.  It just take as while for some, especially if you weren't involved with the game at the time.  Some never "get it", others prefer it.  It just might take some effort and exploration.

 

 

All that is without even touching the historical significance of the park, as I'd say its probably the 2nd most important RCT2 park of all time, behind (in my opinion) only Kayte Ridge from H2H4.  So much of what was done in RCT from 2003 till about 2008 (or even today) was fully a result of that park's vision and ambition.

Wow...both my parks made it to page 4 of this thread......for parks that were released 13 years ago, I'm surprised I made it that far. I wish I had the original RCT games on my comp still so I could vote......sadly, I haven't seen many of these parks. I do remember being captivated by RoB at the time though.

I must say I am also amazed at how many people still play this game. Kinda wacky.

Ports of Magia might not be original but that also doesn't mean it's not good.

 

I don't even think it's good tho. I could make a park just like it in 2 days (with nothing else to do), yet it wins when I took 2 years to make a park that won. All he did was copy sloB, John and Cork. He had lots of mystery shops with no clear use. Press 4, there's nothing in anything. PoM is parkmaking plagiarism and not much more.
