RRP made the coaster, 99% of the supports, and 75% of the station and the transfer area. I made 99% of the landscaping (though heavilty inspired by RRP) and everything else.

I'll be honest with you. Except for some forced details, this little park is totally christmas unrelated. However I'm quite proud of this; it's my most traditional and atmospheric LL so far. Main inspirations for this were mostly some parks by natelox and tracidEdge.

My best work yet! The first ever non-coaster NE Design in modern times! I'm the first person to win at least one of every accolade! (concept creation excluded, but that one doesn't count.)

It's a semi recreation of a rapids ride in the Efteling, and I think I pulled it off! even though it's actually very different, in my opinion it has the same atmosphere. I made some new custom trees for this park and they helped me greatly to achieve the tranquil atmosphere of surroundings here. Maybe I like the surroundings even more than the ride itself. For more information, see the readme that's included in the file.

I made this coaster five years ago... Recently I updated the foliage and the architecture a little and added some minor details. When I submitted it, I didn't expect it to get such a low score... I didn't think it was this bad. I still don't actually. The frozen staff was a fantastic detail in my opinion! But yeah, it doesn't really matter actually. Skip this.

This is literally the start of my RCT2 hobby. This was the first park I made with custom objects and I was really proud of it back in the day, early 2005. Even though it sucks, looking back, it already shows some skills: finishing parks and ideas. :P This park is probably pretty boring to most, but to me it means a lot.

And by the way: Six Flags Carolina isn't the original name. I used this name for a prank only... Sorry CP6.

I signed up for the Unofficial Quest for the Best without knowing what I would actually build. I had to make an Inverted Coaster, making it even more difficult for me. In the end, I ended up not having enough time anyway. I didn't want to forfeit so I put together this piece of shit (literally) in not more than thirty minutes, although the layout is older. It BARELY lost to In:Cities' entry... On the one hand I regret not putting more effort into this, on the other hand I'm glad I'm out of the contest now so I can work on more serious projects.

I've owned LL since it came out, but I didn't play it for years because my disc disappeared... I borrowed Harm's (a RCT-Guide dude) disc and started to play around a little, this time knowing what LL's possibilities actually are. I made 0,5 of this map. Theming wasn't really a problem, but I was struggling with the rides. After more than a year of doing nothing on this map, I decided to finish it. Although I don't play LL often I discovered I did improve a little, and progress went really fast. However, I still couldn't add rides in a good way. Eventually the park ended up having only one ride, Balkenend Enormos... I could submit it for design, but I didn't because I thought the ride wasn't the centerpiece of the park. It's a landscape that happens to include a coaster, not the other way around. Moreover, I knew it couldn't win design and it had a chance at Bronze. Actually it barely missed Silver, but I'm glad that didn't happen. It's too small in my opinion...

My grandparents own an island and a boat in Loosdrecht; a beautiful natural monument/recreational area in the Netherlands. A few years ago I stayed there while the weather sucked, so out of boredom I drew a themepark that roughly resembles a part of Loosdrecht. When I got back home, I translated the drawing into an RCT scenario and added some stuff, with this as a result. The park sucks but it's meaningful to me. :)

And I'm not done with this Loosdrecht setting, expect more in the future.

This park was a breakthrough in my RCT-career. It was the last stream-of-consciousness park, and the first that I built stuff in that I thought was pretty good. When you view the park you'll immediately recognize the rides I'm referring to, as they're seriously not bad! The naming was really poor, so when I submitted this to NE I replaced the stupid names by even more stupid names, this time absurd names though. To emphasize the newly applied theme 'randomnity', I added even more stupid stuff to the park and one of the ugliest coaster I've ever made.

If you want to see my roots, download this park. Maybe you think it's funny as well, maybe you think it's not. Just try it.

I made this coaster for the RCT-Guide coaster competition of 2009. I didn't do my best, instead I tried to create a (semi-) old-school atmosphere without copying. I had no inspiration for a theme, so I randomly put together some buildings inspired by parkmakers like Artist. It didn't create the atmosphere I wanted, but somehow it did create an atmosphere anyway. I like this in a strange way and others do too, as it won in the contest (I fucked up in the second round though). The coaster was never released as a download and I forgot about it, until I got the idea to start submitting old parks to NE to get decent download pages (Honorary Mentions at least). It got pretty close to getting Design, but it didn't win which is justified in my opinion. By the way, this coaster has nothing to do with Sulakke. The coaster was nameless and I randomly picked Sulakke to be the theme here, as a joke.

This coaster was made for a (very) small forum contest on themepark.nl, years ago. Themepark.nl isn't a site particularly for RCT, so there were very few really dedicated people to sign up around. The contest sucked anyway... The bench provided was intended to be without custom objects, but there were some custom objects included by accident, proving how stupid this contest was. I didn't win (I have no idea what did win) and the download was really hard to access. Last year I found this savegame again, and I submitted it to NE. Of course it didn't win, but I was glad the community could finally take a look at this, although I'm not too proud of it.

Dolphin Bay Resort is an All-Inclusive Resort in Turkey. I've been to turkish all-in resorts five times (different resorts!) and they're all basically the same, so inspiration/ideas was abundant. I think I did a great job at making a believable turkish resort, and I'm proud of the details here; I think it's actually my most detailed 'park' so far, although it's still very 'clean' looking.

Wunderland Erlach is meant to be a middle-sized park in central Germany. The idea was to show the community that a park doesn't need extensive theming, great coasters or wild concepts to be enjoyable. I think the idea worked out well: I won Silver with a park that doesn't contain any big memorable rides, contains very little (deliberately ugly/fake) theming, and has imperfections all over the place! What makes me most proud of this park is how I created a strong and characteristic atmosphere through minimalism. I'd like to mention as well that this was my first park that was seriously influenced by NE.

My first park in H2H5. I was the one to first build on the map, but I didn't know much about RRP's current style so I was very unsure about virtually everything... When he first built though, I started to make some progress. Sadly not enough progress, because we didn't finish before the deadline due to hacks not working and me struggling with the chaotic park layout and style. The last night I built until 5 AM, when suddenly a land tower appeared. When I couldn't fix it, I just stopped and submitted it. It wasn't going to be finished anyway... Eventually the park was 80% finished, and it won over the Minutemen's park which was pretty good too.

It was an honour to build with RRP, just a shame that I didn't really know what to do. Nowadays I would've done this totally different. I'm still proud of this though. The atmosphere is great.

This park was made for RCT-Guide's summer contest. The goal was to make a 50x50 park that had something to do with Summer. I first decided I wanted the map to be shaped like a flower, and each petal would get its own theme. However, these themes ended up being very cheesy and I started over again. Now I went with colours, because I associate summer with colour. Each petal got its own colour. I didn't do my best to win the contest, it was more an experiment how I would handle difficult colour schemes. I think I did an okay job, the yellow and blue area are actually pretty good. Red and especially orange are terribly rushed, so you can skip them.

Bacchus won the contest, I was second.

I made this park for a RCT-Guide 'contest' called 'Ultimate Tycoon', in which a lot of year-by-year parks and companies participated to rewrite themepark history from 1950. Ultimate Tycoon was huge, but sadly only a few parks reached 2008, of which very few were older than 30-40 years. The Welsh Land was a pretty new park, started in 1995. Sven had a park called Het Waalse Land, and I loved it. After a year however the park already died and I took over his concept and name (translated) because I thought it was a waste of good ideas. I stole his entrance but everything else is mine. My version of the park is inspired by Flamingoland, obviously.

I made some major mistakes while building this, but in the end I think this is a pretty good park that taught me a lot. Definately worth a download. ;)

Btw, the download contains two versions: One of the park in 1997, and the final 2008 version.

Knott's Derrie Vliet

AKA Eftel Towers III, and a mashup of Knott's Berry Farm and Drievliet, two dense and cheap looking parks. I made this park mostly during the summer of 2007, back then I was a fan of (non-NE) minimalistic realism parks. With this park, it got out of hand and the end result was a disappointment. The cheap look I wanted became just ugliness.

The park is not totally bad however, actually there's some pretty good stuff in there too. For example I love the entrance area, where I got exactly the look I went for.

Knott's Derrie Vliet is certainly worth a download if you ask me, also because it's a Liampie-classic.

When the Micro Madness contest started, I was really excited about participating in a NE contest. However, I soon found out that I had no idea of what to build on the map. I wasn't used to the objects in the bench either, so I started to play with them first. I found that the landblocks were addicting, and I 'decided' that I would build something with a tunnel. When time was running out, I decided to make a castle; I love castles and I made them before so I thought it would be easy. It actually was, the castle was build in no time and I came up with a purpose for the tunnel too. In the end the castle ended up as pretty good, but boring. It did win though, although not everyone agreed on that. I think it was justified, and I actually still like this.

I made this for the Minimap Contest on RCTGuide. I wanted to try some fantasy stuff, and I went with a (part of a) planet entirely covered in water, suffering storms and rain eternally (also known as Britain).

It's not quite the best thing I've ever done, but I like it. The ride is still cool, I think.

Eftel Towers

This was the first serious park I ever finished. Eftel Towers is, as the name suggests, a mashup between the Efteling and Alton Towers; my two favourite themeparks. I added some stuff of my own too, so in fact this park is something like 35% Alton Towers, 35% Efteling and 30% Eftel Towers. There are six areas in the park: Mystery Valley, Gloomy Wood, Monster Zone, Anton Pieck Plein, Mythic Mountains and Bergrijk. My favourite rides in the park are Air, Pegasus and the Bobbaan.

Some stuff is four years old, but it's definately worth a download if you ask me. I'm still proud of this!

This was my first release ever, and actually it's not that bad! Out of nowhere I got the idea to make a winter/christmas themed park and release it as a surprise on christmas eve. In three weeks I miraculously managed to finish, and it's not even rushed!

My favourite stuff on this map are the Schwarzkopf coaster and the Bobsled, with the Abbey-like station building.
